Well after 14 years of a journey down the yellow brick road of the need to live on the land. This year we will explode out of passive land ownership into the amazing, challenging and rewarding life’s work that is a small farm enterprise based on ethics, clean food and a regenerative landscape + economy.
Foxdale farm is a small family farm producing sheep, goats, alpaca, chickens and Muscovy ducks on 100 acres of beautiful farmland near Goulburn, NSW in Australia. Our animals are hand-reared on perennial pastures, insects and sunshine. The way they are supposed to be.
I first read "Joel Salatin" articles in "Acres" an organic newspaper some 15 years ago, and the best thing about the Salatins is that they have, by example, encouraged us to experiment, learn and most importantly think for ourselves.
Foxdale Farm will be using systems based on Polyface Farms’ influence, including forested pigs, egg mobiles, holistically managed livestock and broiler chicken tractors. As well as principles taken from permaculture, keylining and biodynamics.
